Easier way to mix Mel's mix?
Made my first Mel's mix today! Woo-hoo! However, there has got to be a better way...
It took us about an hour to go through the process of fluffing the peat, mixing everything (by folding the tarp over and over), then dividing it up, soaking it and getting it into the garden bed.
I have about 30 times this amount still to do... figuring/hoping there has got to be an easier way... What is it though?
I do have one of those cement mixers on wheels - will throwing everything into a cement mixer damage anything? Particularly will it damage the vermiculite?

There is an easier way, and you already have it - the cement mixer. I don't own one, so I rented one, and it worked great. The cement mixer will not harm the vermiculite, or any of the other ingredients, and it will mix them evenly. I set the mixer against the bed with the empty opening away from the bed, added the mixture and mixed it, then dumped it over into the bed.
