Second trellis is much easier
The first trellis took me three months and totally intimidated me. The second one was a breeze now that I figured it out. Plus, that one only has to hold cucumbers and not pumpkins and watermelons. So added two new beds. One is a 2X2 for sweet potatoes only. I am hoping I am not too late on those. So Cal is so often hotter in September than August I hope it will serve me well.
First hint of pumpkin and zucchini:
The pole beans among the corn are going crazy:
And the tomatoes are blushing, finally.

Your garden is looking good.
I heard about a trellis made from old step ladders. What a great idea. I'm going to the local Salvation Army this week to see if they have anything like that to use.
I need something for my melons.

I like the idea of an actual ladder for melons because you can sit the melon on one of the steps rather than fashion a sling for it.

Wow Chop! Here I am wrapped in a quilt, hoping my tomato blossoms do not fall of for all the shivering! Great (and pretty) job.
