Dragon Carrot
Anyone with experience growing the Dragon Carrot? I saw the description of it on High Mowing Seeds, and it appears to have a lot good points - namely hardy, grows well in heavy soils, and high lycopene. Since it is developed for growing in heavy soils, it seems it would have less problem with forked roots, etc.

They look like Cosmic Purple that I received as a free pack from Baker Creek. Keep us posted.

I grew the Cosmic Purple from Baker Creek last year. I checked their site and they have both the Cosmic Purple and the Purple Dragon on their page, with different descriptions. The Cosmic Purple did good last year, and I have another package of the seeds they sent out with another order. So, I might try both this year and see what the difference is.
These are the Cosmic Purple I grew last year, the ones on the left.

I don’t OG, but I have grown Kaleidoscope, a multi-color blends with white, yellow, red, and purple varieties. Although pretty, they were not what I wanted with sweet taste. Did not repeat. What did you think about the purple dragon that you grew, taste-wise?

We loved the Cosmic Purple Carrots! They were tender & sweet, with a very slight spicy taste. The only disappointment was that much of the purple skin disappeared during the cleaning of them.
