We live in Laurel Fork, VA, in the mountains of Virginia. Moved here 4 years ago this month; still getting used to the late springs around here. Just now seeing green on the ridges out our front window. I'm new to squarefoot gardening and have been reading as much as I can about it. Looking forward to getting my garden in shape.

Hey, Debbie, welcome from Ohio!  It has been a cold non-Spring everywhere, I think.  Hope to hear lots about your plans for your SFG, and we love pictures!  What do you like to eat?  Have you gardened before?

Welcome!  I'm fairly new here and have learned so much from everyone.  The "Search" feature is a great resource.  I look forward to hearing about your gardening plans.

I love the usual: broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. I've rediscovered beets, and finally tried collards. These both I want to grow as well. I've been gardening over 30 years, but this will be the first year with a SQF garden. My husband isn't quite as convinced as I am about this, so we'll see.

Hi Debbie, Welcome to the Forum from California! glad you\'re here My husband wasn't interested in my SFG back in 2013, but he built the beds and has been invaluable to it over the years. He also doesn't mind eating the veggies it produces. Razz
