HI! From Beautiful British Columbia Canada
Hey guys, can't wait to start gardening with you all!
Very interested in any projects, tips, or even just stories you have to share.
Gardening is my life! Only secondary to my amazing family.
From gorgeous British Columbia, Canada - my own little rainy paradise. Would love to find other Canadian gardening friends to share seeds and other goodies! I've got a million ideas and counting... and plants.
Happy Spring my dears!
Growth and Blessings,
Alexa

Hi Alexa, Do you garden using the Square Foot Gardening method? What have you been able to grow on your beautiful island?

Re: HI! From Beautiful British Columbia Canada
Hey sanderson - I have grown virtually everything here! Or at least I've tried All manner of herb and vegetable, flowers, trees, shrubs. You name it, I've likely encountered it and possibly tried my hand at helping it thrive! I loosely follow square foot gardening, and I have come to get some advice, pointers, favourites, things not to do.. you know ~ anything you would have wanted to know from an expert when you were (re)starting out. I have enjoyed many different yards in many different places. The more that I garden while aiming to maximize crops in small areas, the more SFG makes sense.
I'm an old school gardener, landscaping is my real forte, just creating a gorgeous and stunning backdrop to our lives.. music, love, and flowers rule my domain.
Alas, I am pushing myself more this year than ever to follow a strict plan! No more whimsy can exist in my food gardens! My children are getting HUGE! They eat like giants I really need to harvest and store/process/can what I grow this season. I need your help and advice about proven winners!
We moved last summer and my new raised beds are built, but not in place. Much work is to be done, the seedlings have been giving it their all, and last frost creeps closer and closer!!!
It was great to have your replies and I will work on getting photos taken and uploaded!
Hope you are all doing great, what's happening in your garden right now?

Can't wait to see your photos. My Urban SFG was once a regular back yard with flowers, star jasmine, and other flowering bushes. This summer, I am going to plant some flowers again after 5 years of veggie gardening.

Alexa. I'm in Northern CA, down from Oregon. I think you have perfect weather for gardening. (Jealous! ) Can't wait to see your pics. Like Sanderson, I'm doing more with flowers this year -- all for the pollinators. to our little corner of the gardening world.
