Hello from St Louis
I have been growing a squarefoot garden for the last 5 years. It works great and I never get tired of it. I have a 4'x8' bed for most of my plants. I am growing green beans, cucumbers, cantaloupe, zucchini, red bell peppers, sweet banana peppers, lettuce, garlic, Big Boy tomatoes, peas and catnip for my cat. I also have a fence post with 4 hanging baskets for my grape tomatoes and a couple of 5 gallon buckets for growing potatoes. I grow the beans, cucumbers and cantaloupe on a trellis attached to my garden bed. Last year I harvested at least 20 pounds of beans and they were delicious. Some friends of mine moved here from California and since they saw my garden they have started a squarefoot garden themselves.
