non traditional dried beans
besides making dried beans into baked beans or chili, anyone have a good recipe for using dried beans as a side outside of a salad? Maybe with a curry sauce or something.

Shooter, Did you check out the Recipe sub Forum? Beans and curry sounds yum. Maybe a Vegan web site?

my search here did not find what my mind is looking for. That soup looks good, will have to try it. I will just have to experiment. A lot of good beans will be sacrificed in the name of progress.

The Monday, Wednesday and Friday recipes looked good. What kind of beans? Including legumes? Like lentils etc?

As I am starting to incorporate more healthy choices into the mix, beans is what I know, but talking to friends lentils will be a wise choice as well

Yeah, legumes; lentils and split peas, etc. are pretty tasty and versatile too.

I absolutely LOVE throwing beans in to the blender with the spices de jour and making dip or spread for chips or veggies or on sandwiches or poured over a salad. My absolute fave is cannellini beans w/ garlic, amino acids and cumin.
Veggie omlettes and pizzas seem to love kidney beans. When I ran a child care center, I called the beans on the pizza "Beany-balls". The kids ate it up!
