No, I'm not on Facebook, so haven't seen that. Sounds like it might be interesting, but it is only available to Facebook users.
Never plant without a bucket of compost at your side.

I just got my add. Great group, lots of live pictures. Maybe you can join thru a family member, this way it other them , not you.
ex. of discussion. people names left off.
Anyone know what this is?
- Not fungi. These are feather fibers.
Image taken from here: http://cool.conservation-us.org/.../jaic26-01-003.html
- Do you use feathermeal in any of your composts or soil ferts?
**i don’t, but I have tons of birds visit my yard everyday and they nose around my compost. It’s just bizarre. But I’m glad I know what it is now, I’ve also seen this in other peoples photos, possibly from feather meal

from the group.
Hi Everyone,
Simply want to share some pictures of my thermal compost (that I thougt having missed). Photo 1 is showing a nematode not moving, is it dead or taking a nap. Also, it's the first time I see an agregate with that much fungal hyphae!!! Photo 2 at 400X and 3 at 40X. Does someone have pictures of Johnson-Su compost, I would be curious to see if this is worth it. By the way, I have an Omax microscope, is it possible to capture better quality pictures with the 14Mpx camera.

That is some crazy fungal growth... How did you make your compost? What inputs?
-50% Wood chips, 25% green hay, 25% High nitrogen (grass clipping)
