Under way in SC
Just started SFG this past fall. I grew my first winter garden. Now I have at least four people I know starting or thinking about starting SFGs. I've signed up for the instructor course to learn as much as possible to help my friends, don't want to steer them wrong. They just keep asking me all about it even thought I point them to the website. They are in disbeleif that I grew as much as I did with the relatively minimal effort, after initial setup that is. The one thing I keep emphasizing is to use Mel's mix.
My prior efforts in gardening seemed to be carbon copied into Mel's books where he describes the primrose path that recreational backyard gardeners are drawn down.
Starting lots of heirloom tomatoes and peppers. Found a lot of the varieties listed in "Epic Tomatoes". One of the seed companies even had a subsection in tomatoes for the book. I'm looking forward to seeing how the vertical nets work with them, squeezed in a cucumber crop on them late this fall.

Re: Under way in SC
It's incredible. Everybody keeps passing about it. Nobody believes how easy it is, when you follow the instructions.

Looking forward to it. Not much that I haven't read in the SFG 101 and 201. I've got a small stack of books including the new High value veggies book. I seen some topics listed for others sessions that may answer some questions I've got.

Yum! I love love love radishes! I have 3 kinds in right now; Sparkler, white icicle, and Chinese red meat. Salt, radish, yummo. They are much better early. Not so bitey, or pithy.

Re: Under way in SC
About an hour ago, it was very dark and grey. Being a new found weather addict, I check the app on my phone to find that HARD rain and hail is expected for most of the day. As I start to make my rounds of the house looking for things I can transform into suitable rain shelters for my veggies......BOOM......it begins; torrential downpour!
All of my boxes are now covered with upside down lawn chairs, laundry baskets, totes, 5 gallon pails and inverted grow trays. Geesh; what a moment of sheer panic!

I'd love to see a photo of that!
Downpours here, also, but probably nothing like yours.
