Too cute!

Kelejan: No, I wont be replacing the beagles. I WILL make the garden beagle-proof. There is a 1-meter fence around it now, with a short, decorative 1-foot picket fence around the border. where they dug under the gate I now have a wooden deck. I'm sure the escape committee is already working on the net tunnel Very Happy .

Kelejan ... Alas ... no gardening presents. In fact it was quiet day. Only my wife and mom were with me.

Pretty cool here in British Columbia Southern Interior right now.  54F/12C rising to 73F this afternoon.  Rainy as well with a thunderstorm forecast.

I will be planting chard and beet seeds later on today, hoping for a good start as the temperature is forecast to rise to 97F by Friday.

This year has been a real flip-flop in weather patterns, too cool or too hot at the wrong times.  I know we are not alone.

Current temp here in Ottawa is 30 C / 86 F with a humidex of 36 C / 96 F.  It's the humidty that is brutal.  Just moving slowly outside makes me perspire.  Supposed to be hotter tomorrow.

Got seeds of beets and chard planted and well watered in, ready for the rise in temperature this week.

I have felt quite chilly for a couple of days and now look forward to feeling warmer again.  Before we know it, fall and winter will be here. Sad

Very pleasant 24C/74F right now but due to rise to 35C/95F later this afternoon, so I had better get out and do something.

Tomorrow's forecast is 38C/100F once again, and similar temps for the rest of the week.  Phew!

Kelejan ... your location is hotter than where I am.  Yesterday (temp 34C) was the hottest July 29th in Ottawa, Ontario in 123 years.

Do you get the high humidity levels that we get here?  Right now its 30C with 44% humidity which makes it feel like 35C.

Trolleydriver, no, we do not get the high humidity that you unfortunately have so it i far  more bearable.

Not to say that I don't "glow" somewhat. Sometimes we do get a bit more humidity at times but just lot like you do.  But I did melt a bit when we had several weeks of high temps with no let -up.

But you sure beat us when it comes to the cold.  Brrr!
