Homesteading in MD
Hi all - we have a small homestead (2 acres) near Frederick, MD. Here's praying that our livestock, puppy or 3 small children don't undo all that we are attempting to create in our beautiful beds. We are new to gardening & are learning as we go. Thanks in advance for all the wisdom

Terp Gardener, Welcome to the Forum from California! It sounds like you have a full life. Are you trying the All New Square Foot Gardening method in the veggie garden?
Re: Homesteading in MD
Yup - for everything. Strawberries, veggies & flowers. We're an all-in type of family.

Welcome to the forum! You will love all the info, support and ideas shared here. Envious of the 2 acres for sure! A lot of us whine about not having enough room for all we want to plant

Hi Cathy:
I'm your "neighbor" in Glen Burnie. I also homeschooled my children (now adults).

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Welcome to the forum. I home school my twos boys and they love our garden projects. They are 4 and 8. If you get the kids involved the won't want to destroy what they did/ helped with.
