New Rhubarb's leaves turning yellow! Wilted Cucumber seedlings!
I'm new here and this is my first post. I have a problem with some of my nursery plants that I just bought 1 week ago. They are still in their containers as it has been too wet and cool here lately.
First it was my 3 cucumbers in a little square pot, 3 days after buying them they started wilting one by one while still green and the soil was still moist. Now they died and I'm not sure why.
Second is my 1 gallon pot of Rhubarb. It was fine till 3 days ago. The little green shoots of new stalks coming up turned yellow. Now just over night the a few of bigger leaves are now almost completely yellow too.
What is going on? How can things go wrong in just a week.
I thought I'd buy these veggie plants from a respected popular nursery that I have known since I was a kid instead of the usual place that I normally buy from which is Wal-Mart or Menards. I have never had problems with their plants, in fact the flowers I bought this year are fine and still in their containers. I paid a lot of money for all my veggies this year for the garden

Kitty Catnip, Welcome to the forum from California!
Love your avatar!
I hope someone from your area can help you with the dying cucumbers and rhubarb. I have a heck of a time with my cucumbers if the Mel's Mix is still to cold and wet. They just fall over. I still haven't transplanted any because their bed is still too shaded.

Return the plants and see if the the nursery is having problems with other seedlings from the distributor. Not transplanting should not be a problem like this.

OMG! How cute is that avatar, Kitty! Welcome to the forum.
OK, now I'll go back and read your post. lol
Were they outside or inside? I know cukes can't take any type of cold but I know nada about rhubarb.
I second taking them back for a refund. Hope you saved your receipt.

LOL Thanks!

They were outside for 1 day before it started to rain and I brought them all inside where they are still on my kitchen table in front of the window.
Yep, I still have the receipt but I don't know if they do returns or not yet.
