I have some beautiful crooked neck yellow squash in my raised beds this year.  It is blooming profusely and putting on squash.  The squash gets about 3" long, turns brown on the end where the blossom has fallen off and shrivels up??I have automatic watering sprinkler on these plants and have been watering 15 minutes every other day...... maybe too much water???? Problem with crookneck yellow squash turning brown on end and shriveling up at about 3 inches long Icon_sad

Good Morning,
What you are describing sounds like "lack of pollination." You can hand pollinate with a paint brush.

+1 Agreed. poor or no pollination of the female flower. Are you seeing bees? If using pesticides in the garden do not apply them during the day when pollinators are most active because plants are blooming.

If no pollinators (bees), you can be the pollinator and hand pollinate them yourself.
