Hello all,

My wife really likes adding yellow grape or cherry size tomatoes to some of her favorite dishes.  Here (and perhaps where you are as well), yellow tomatoes cost a fortune.

Well, I am going to attempt them this season.  However, I really don't know where to begin as far as variety.  Has anyone worked with a particular yellow tomato that they found to be especially good?  I get lost in seed catalogs (I want everything!).

Thanks for your time everyone.  Smile

I grow yellow pear cherry types. They are prolific. In fact I still have some fresh, which are holding up pretty well. Ask in the Seed swap forum and someone may have some seeds for you.

I grew these little guys last summer.  Sweet flavored and prolific.  My husband and my neighbor next door went crazy over them. I'm growing these again this year.
At the end of last summer when I couldn't stand to pick the last of them I called the same neighbor to take what he wanted and he came right over with his son for 1/2 hour and took home bags of toms.

Thank you camprn and llama momma.  What an interesting name the "W" tomato has.  I've got a rare seeds catalog.  I tried ordering their Valentine lettuce, but they did not have any in stock at the time.

Camprn, I will mention my quest in the seed exchange.  I don't have too many special things to exchange, but I do have some Dark Knight carrot seeds and a "blue" version of a cherry tomato.

Yellow pear and Sungold (orange) are what I grew. Both very heavy producers of cherry size tomatoes. The sungolds are very sweet. I would stand under my vines during my early morning garden check and just eat right off the vine.
