Video Garden Tour -- New Years Day, 2014
The 45 foot stretch of papaya and asparagus was solarized this summer to kill the soil root knot nematodes.
Then there's the SFG raised with cinder block that I built last September. This north side of the house doesn't get much direct sun in the winter, so the elevation allows more sun than it would on the ground.
I want to reiterate that I do not get any kickbacks of any kind for mentioning Baker Creek (RareSeeds.com). I'm so impressed with this company and I would like to add that every time I've ordered from them they send me a free package of heirloom seeds.

dstack, nice layout! I like the sanitizing station! The cukes, zukes and aubergine look great!!!

Thanks! I never understood the importance of sanitation in the garden until I found how destructive nematodes can be. Now I wouldn't even think of reusing a pot before sanitizing it first, or putting a shovel away without washing off the dirt and dipping it in the blue bucket, which is filled with soapy vinegar water.

With another foot of snow or more expected tomorrow, its so nice to see a garden with green and growing things. Makes me pine for spring here in the north.
