I was trying out Picasa 3 for Mac and decided to create a video with the pictures I took today. That is an AWESOME program. Anyhoo, I busted out my macdaddy D-80 because I love looking at everyone else's photos, so decided to share what I have as of today. Enjoy!

(The music can be loud, so I would check the volume level first)

Very nice. Everyone from NC has been way ahead of me this year. It must be ideal conditions.

Very nicely done! I haven't tried Picasa before. I may just have to check it out.

Your garden looks amazing! I wish mine was producing as much.

Very nice. Everyone from NC has been way ahead of me this year. It must be ideal conditions.

I planted in mid April, and replanted a few things that didn't take well. We started out with decent rain helping everything along, and now that the heat has set in it has helped. The heat hasn't been as consistent to possibly stunt growth, so my tomatoes are in full explosion. As are my peppers. I didn't have a garden the past two years as I was dealing with trying to get energy back from cancer, so I don't have enough to compare it to!

I haven't tried Picasa before. I may just have to check it out.

I was very impressed with it. I used it when it first came out a long time ago and it really sucked, so I hadn't really used it since. Now they are in cahoots with google and blogger so I decided to check it out again, and WOW. Amazing, a lot better than the iPhoto on my Mac which is pretty good to make pictures look fun, but I can't make movies, collages, or a bunch of other stuff it can do. Here is the link to check it out. It "should" come up with what type to download (PC or Mac). I had it scan my whole Mac for pictures and it did it so fast, it even has a "profile scanner" that scan's all the pictures looking for people's faces and you can then "name" that face. BRILLIANT!

First off let me say congratulations on the recovery. second, your garden is beautiful, and i love you video. i play around with adobe alot, my fav is my elements, which i use for scrapbooking. i have use picassa in the past for the video but not recently. gonna have to try it again. i have a trial of muvee reveal 8 on here right now, i havent tried it yet but it's supposed to be an awsome program. just cant seem to find the time to try it out.

Kimbertangleknot's Garden Empty Re: Kimbertangleknot's Garden

Post  kimbertangleknot 7/1/2010, 8:03 pm

Thanks everyone for the recovery stuff. Been cancer free for at least a year now (actually I think it's two now), and got the go ahead that I won't have to take another radioactive pill this year, so we can finally start trying to have kids again. YAY!

As for all the tomatoes, I just picked a FULL BASKET full tonight (it's the same basket in the video), I usually give some away to family, so I'll probably do that, but I also just got my pressure canner the other day and have been looking at the book that came along with it. So I might try to make some salsa with it. Right now I average eating at least one a day, the biggest bummer though, is that the cherry tomatoes I have, I do not like at all, so I need to find a way to use those up. Any suggestions?

Try roasting them and tossing with some cooked pasta, olive oil and garlic. Yummy and they'll get tastier when they're roasted.
