we do sometimes, or juice them up in smoothies or compost them I offered them up to the neighbors and they were super excited to get some! Spreading the love!! They're good sized too! Some about like a softball!!

They're Chioggia Beets. They're red and white striped inside, kind of like a target! Super cool! Never grown beets as big as we're getting now! We also grew the "regular" red beets, and they were big like this too! I like the regular beets best

Here are the Tromboncino we picked today!! Close to 120 lbs worth, with one more we can't get down...too big/heavy, need some more help! I wish we'd have weighed all of them for the year, unbelievable really! The biggest one here is close to 4 feet for reference! Thank you again to Judy for sending the seeds!!

Jeez, what monsters! They look like they're all trying to swim away. It must have been fun to grow something so unusual and enormous.
I've gotta try growing those next year, even though my luck with squash is pretty iffy. But growing just a couple of those monsters would make up for a lot of lousy production elsewhere.

they are crazy aren't they? haha! they are definitely the favorite when people come see our garden. I'm wondering if they'll produce flowers again since we got all the squash off? Hubby got the last one off, it had wound all through the wire into a "snake" looking thing! so fun. It weighed over 10 lbs! The necks are all "good squash" with seeds only being in the bulbs at the end. I'm sure the seeds are cross pollinated. We had all kinds of squashes and pumpkins and bees. I have a couple of seeds left from Judy, so will try again in the spring. These are a MUST do for sure! So easy to grow and produced like crazy, No PM issues and just grew very fast and easily!! God bless all!!

Beautiful watermelon! !
I had some farmers mkt watermelon left over and froze it in ice cream scoop servings. Somebody on the Internet says it tastes fine. I'm looking forward to finding out for myself.

That sounds like it would make a wonderful winter dessert. Light, and unexpected. Maybe with a mint leaf on top, or a little swirl of whipped cream? Or surrounded by a collar of blueberries?

welp...we ate the watermelon, none got frozen it was THAT good!! mmmmmmm...
Check out these bell peppers from today! There are five on this ONE stem! Each one will barely fit in the palm of my hand There are 5-6 more on the same plant. I was trying to move the branch, and it broke, no wonder!! Never had peppers grow like this!
