SG those peppers are amazing!
if the stem didn't break off all together & you want to try and save it....we used tape and wrapped it around a broccoli plant that had the stem get broken and its still going strong and I would say that had to of been over a month ago
hugs

Re: moved our beds
wow....can't believe it's been a year since we moved and updated our beds. We've harvested literally hundreds of pounds from it this past year, and are so happy It's now full of broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, potatoes, asparagus, carrots, basil, beans, watermelon, tomatoes, squashes, lettuce, spinach, peppers, loads of strawberry plants and more! Hope this next year is as good or better!
Happy Gardening all!! Here is a pic from spring this year

Re: moved our beds
I have certainly enjoyed your progress this year and I fully expect it will be just as productive next year if not more.
You give inspiration to us trailing you.
Working on putting chips down right now, and so looking forward to next spring and what it brings.

Re: moved our beds
thank you so much. It seems like it's been more than a year when I think of where we started from and where we are. It all happened so fast really! The chips work!!Kelejan wrote:I have certainly enjoyed your progress this year and I fully expect it will be just as productive next year if not more.

They sure look healthy, and like they'll never have to worry about a day of snow in their lives.

It does, Marie. We have something to aim for, even if we do fall short. I love seeing other peoples' efforts.
Re: moved our beds
oh you guys are TOO kind! You can never "fall short" in your own garden! It's all about what you make it
We bit the bullet and covered our strawberries like in the BTE film. Seems sooo crazy, so we'll see!
We planted the garlic from that huge garlic we pulled in the spring, and it's already up! HOPE it turns into some amazing garlic next spring.
How is everyone else's gardens doing??

Re: moved our beds
mine here in Pennsylvania is BLAH.
Since I recently ( this fall ) elevated 4 of my 5 beds their just sitting there as bare as a frog sitting in the water.
I left a small section aside for a small cold frame, about 2 X 4 rather than that 4 X 8 giant monster I had.
Above was my old cold frame now gone
below is the beginning of my newer more improved cold frame, smaller and facing south
I'm considering making this small bed a potato patch and try growing pole beans in among them.
Might be an interesting project.

Re: moved our beds
Thanks SG. I just don't want Jimmy's new beds to get lost. Jimmy, do you want to post these under your Bed 3 Modification, also?
Re: moved our beds
No, Thank you anyway. I have that all covered
I was actually responding to SGs post and got carried away.
Just like when I ask my wife a question she replies with an answer that's equal to a book.
I seem to do the same, only with SFG ing

Here is one of the about 15 heads of broccoli I got on clearance at Home Depot. They were all but dead!! We are due for a big storm today, so gonna let them soak up the rain, then harvest!!

Re: moved our beds
Looking good SG. I have about 25 Broccoli heads sitting on but the biggest one is only about golf ball size (planted 9/6). Most of the others are marble size (planted 10/5).
