SG, This photo is from a different view than the "blue chair" gift photo, so I am getting a nice panoramic idea of your garden. I'm really liking it!

Sanderson, yes, this is a different view. The blue chairs are in the same place, just a different view. The right side of the pic is the North side of our garden, with 22' of 1' wide trellis, the rest are mostly 2x8 garden beds, with a few 4x8

in the upper right hand corner there looks to be something covered up....a tree stump? a grill?....I was thinking if its a tree stump...its pretty big around and maybe you have or are going to do something cool with it

Rose, you have good eyes! Yes, it's a big pepper tree stump. There is a table top on it, it's hard to see. I use that area to harden off my seedlings. Right now, some of my garden covers (talked about those earlier) are on top of it. God bless!!

Yes, good eyes. I just noticed the metal poles on the left side of the boxes. What are those used for?

I put on my strongest cheaters, and it still looks like a pile of covered firewood to me!   

Boffer, Don't feel bad. I thought it was a pile of large boulders. Maybe time to get new prescription for me.

Those are poles so when we pull the hoses around the boxes we don't decapitate the plants if the hose goes higher than the box.
I had a few episodes when I was happily watering along, and looked back and the hose had gone over the top of the box, and snapped off the tops of a bunch of plants.     OR when my sweet little grand babies "help" water      lol!!

oh my your pepper plants grow into trees   how cool is that! ...its pretty neat to be able to make a table out of a pepper tree!

we left our old apple tree stump out in the back garden area....so far we have used it to hold up our scare crow....funny thing is...its started to send out skinny branches....I have been tossing some ideas around that last couple of years but just haven't had the time to full fill them.....I thought it would be cool to have hubby drill a deep hole, to anchor down some kind of tall multi planter system, that we could fill with herbs and flowers....plant edibles that will self seed....and have the planter up taller then our hoops......I like the idea of different heights in the garden....also thought we could put some mason bee homes on it...... 

you have such a lovely garden area.....looks so peaceful   

we have had the same problems with the hose....learned the hard way too

I love the picture of your garden!!! This morning we got another inch of snow so I won't be out in the garden for a couple more months. I greatly appreciate the picture of yours!!!

Glad you guys like the pics. Sometimes, I feel like I might be boring people to tears We are finally getting a little rain and the plants love it!! I have close to 80 poppies blooming right now. They're beautiful! Have a blessed day...........

looks great SG! have you eaten the green one before? we have been thinking about trying it out but I wanted to see what others thought of the taste first   congrats on your poppies!! we hope to have a lot of them this year too...we love them!

no, we haven't eaten the green one before. It's pretty small, but are anxious to try it!! I'll let you know. We have TONS of poppies right now. It's so pretty to see them swaying in the breeze. We can see the garden from our living room and kitchen God bless!!

green romanesco cauliflower is good! The only way we eat cauliflower is roasted - and we are eating a lot of it this year. Romanesco, purple, white, it doesn't matter to us   I grew romanesco this year and last (only 1 plant though) and have some cheddar growing right now. I had never had cauliflower before in my life until last year. My dad hates it so my mom never cooked it. I do wonder how his mother served it to him since even my husband, who basically dislikes veggies, just loves roasted cauliflower. It seems no matter how much I make, it is never enough. Oh and I had never had brussel sprouts before and I roasted a bunch a few weeks ago and we love those too now!

how do you roast them keepercjr?

I cut them into small chunks (think bite sized pieces but they shrink so take that into consideration) and spread them out on a baking sheet. I liberally drizzle olive oil over it and rub it around with my hands. Then I add some salt and pepper. The olive oil I use is garlic flavored and we love it. I put it in a preheated 350 degree oven and toss it around every 5-10 minutes. I guess it takes about 30 minutes or so. I just keep an eye on it. This works with broccoli and asparagus (but you only put the asparagus in for 10 minutes) too. Oh and at the end I shred some parmesan over it all and put it back in for another 3-4 minutes for it to melt!

Nope no covering. Just make sure to toss it around often.

after a couple of days of MUCH needed rain, the garden is lush and thriving!! The poppies are SO happy, and rananculas are budding and sprouting too. Daffodils are coming up along with Hyacinth. Peas, broccoli carrots, beets, well, pretty much everything!!

Our iceland poppies are just loving the new beds and BTE chips. This is just one box of them. We have two more of them and another two of Rananculas and Daffodils. Spring has sprung here!! We have about 30 green strawberries too!!

Pretty.      I'm trying a few flower seedlings in the backyard this year. The front always gets flowers but I miss them in the backyard.

Thank you Rose. sometimes I feel like I might be boring people, but I love seeing other people's gardens. The green head is JUST about ready, I was eyeing it today! It didn't get as big as the white one, but it's pretty cool looking! There are two more heading up too Kinda anxious to get them out so I can plant my maters and peppers! I have so much stuff to plant lol. How is your garden doing???
