Welcome. Are you planning a fall garden? Now is the time to get some fall plants into the ground. Our 8a gardens still have 2 1/2 months of growing time before first frost and even then we usually have another month of just light frosts. The brassicas taste better after a light frost and with a little effort can be harvested until hard frosts finally take them down. The 2011 winter was so mild I had kale, chard, collards, and lettuce all winter long under plastic hoop houses.

Kay

Welcome halls, glad to have you on board. Once you get started and the gardening bug hits you there's no stopping. It's so satisfying seeing the garden come to life and produce lots of wonderful goodies.

Another newby Empty I love growing herbs!

What herbs are you growing...culinary, ornamental, medicinal?  When you get into the herbs, there is great history and lore behind the use of herbs.
