Hi, I'm Jenny. I'm from Ohio. I recently borrowed the SFG book from the local library. I like it so much that I'm getting my own copy and starting a garden. I've made my plan and now all I have to do is get my supplies to build it. I'm so excited!! I've always done the row gardening in the past and the oil at my house is TERRIBLE! so I'm so glad that I can use a mix that is renewable and reusable. I have a 5 year old daughter who is excited to do this with me too! I think she really just wants to eat all the tomatoes once they grow. I'm looking forward to all the information that is here. Thank you!!

Hi Jenny from Ohio, this is Carol from Texas. I have worked in a public library for 20 years, 17 of those doing storytimes for 5 yr olds. I love kids! See if your library has an old book called "Grandpa's Garden Lunch"....I think your daughter would like it. Welcome to the forum. I too am beginning my first SFG and look forward to learning and sharing experiences.

New here and saying hi! Empty Welcome newby!

I love welcoming newbies because I was one last year. I jumped in with both feet and loved every minute of it.
I'm sure you and your daughter will love it.
Let her plant a few rows of radishes of her very own. They come up quickly and you can eat them any time during their growing process, from the tiniest (even the tops are edible) when she thins them to make room in between, to full growth. It will keep your youngster insterested since they don't take long to sprout.
Enjoy the experience!
