Premade MM (Grow Well, Socal) vs MG potting mix

All;

Been doing SFG with my own MM for a few years, but when I saw I could get the premade MM from HD and FREE shipping, I went for it. Only bought 9 bags as I wanted to do an experiment. The results were very dissapointing, to say the least. The MM is on the left!

I would strongly suggest mixing your own at least if you are in Socal. If you are in Socal, and want 6 free bags, let me know...

Wow

The proof is in the photo. Looks like the pre-made needs some good homemade compost.

With that in mind, the pre-made may be a deal for someone who has access to good compost and who doesn't want to deal with the mess of fluffing peat moss, measuring the 3 parts, wrestling with a hose, all on a windy day.

looks like their problems continue. I would contact Gro Well for a refund. We tried in vain to "fix" the mix. Never worked. Ended up hauling it to the dump. Sad
