shallot suggestions please
This coming fall I will have this area ready for shallot planting in Mel's Mix.
While trying to find some info about these little delicious morsels I am finding a few
different varieties as in garlic.
I am ready to order some now and if anyone has recommendations as to which to go with
I sure would appreciate some feedback.
As always thank you
Jimmy

Re: shallot suggestions please
I prefer, because I am in the north, to plant my red shallots in the spring and not risk winter heaving and rot. Grey shallots need to be planted in the fall because they will not keep all winter.

Re: shallot suggestions please
Will red shallots do well being planted i spring?
I should assume yes as you know what your doing..
I made a few walla walla onions from seed this past winter,
planted them and they do look good from the outside
Also are they planted using seeds ? or bulbs like garlic ?

Nice banjo! I should get my banjo out...... I am sure it needs strings after 15 years in the case.

15 years, a banjo in a case....ohhhh myyyyyyyy
Yep new strings should be in order, of course if your gonna let it sit
for another 15 years, I don't think I'd change them.
This SFG has put a damper on my time with my banjo,
although we do play a couple times weekly, I cant do everything although I sure try.
