Aphids??

I have these bugs on my lettuce and my spinach has been affected.... Are these aphids? I have never had them and I want to be sure.
Thanks for any help!

Blast them with the hose and then a little soapy water. There are recipe's on the web for making your own insecticidal soap solution.kbshark wrote:thanks... now my battle begins!

Re: Aphids??
This is my third year and when I started I was worried about aphids on my tomatoes because of things I had read. It seems I had lots of other bugs but not aphids until this spring when I planted lettuce. They are all over my lettuce. I thinned out my lettuce this weekend harvesting some leaves and now I'm going after the aphids.

I can see the photo using Chrome as my browser. I cannot see it in Firefox or IE. I will send Rooster a message and he will probably tend to the matter when he gets home from work.

I was having a problem with bugs munching on my arugula and lettuce. I got some lady bugs and turned them loose a few weeks ago. Problem solved....and now I have baby lady bugs everywhere...

I'm seeing photo's just fine on Chrome, FF and IE. Try deleting forum cookies and see if that helps those of you who are having issues. There's an option to delete the forum cookies on the index page. Near the bottom, right hand side.

I deleted the cookies but using Facebook I can only see the photo in the original post of the bugs that don't look like aphids to me.
Are there supposed to be other photos?
