How high for the grow light???
I am using a grow light I picked up from Walmart for my tomatoes and peppers. My question is how high above the plants should I keep the light now that they are up? They appear spindly but it might just be because they are so young and small at this point. Also my light has a plastic cover over it which I am using but should it be taken off? The light seemed to hot for the plants to be touching it when I checked.

The lamp bulbs should just be an inch or two above the tops of the seedlings.
If you think it's getting too warm, certainly take the plastic off.
