CapeCoddess.....If you want to grow tomatoes indoors, try Tiny Tim. They grow indoors in pots even in winter. I'm going to try them 2013.

Ray does these things all the time. I subscribe to his two channels so get notices of them as he makes them. This is recent so you have time to get your Tiny Tims and up to 9 other veggie seeds.

Great for SFG folks who don't need tons of seeds for their gardens.

Oh, and naturally I just got my Saturday mail, and there's the Johnny's catalog, just after I put in another catalog request this morning! Ha - isn't that the way it always goes.

Thanks, snibb. The windows are all covered in snow blobs right now, but melting fast since the sun came out. sunny

I suppose if I were a good garden slave I'd get out there in the slop and remove that snow. Doubtful. tongue

Oh wow, this is excellent, QB! I made my list, with Tiny Tim in the #1 position, but if I understand it correctly, I probably shouldn't send the email until Jan 1st? Is that how you do it?

Cape.....You can send your list in now. Its the 2013 seed offer but he posted it earlier and I already got an acknowledgment that my order was received.

I see that it takes 56 days before last frost! What will you plant the leek and onion seeds in? Are the onions the round ones?

Also, thanks for the chipper info. Not gonna happen this year I'm afraid. The company I work for is cutting our hours/pay back quite a bit starting Jan 1. Not sure if they will pull out later or not, but I'm ready either way since I saw it coming at least a year ago. Thank goodness for SFG's and beans. Laughing

Meanwhile I'll keep making brush piles.

too bad about the shredder, that was a sweet deal.

As to the leeks, they actually take 7 months or more to make it seed to table.

I will probably plant them in empty tofu containers, or some shallow plastic tray I have to find.

The onions, I am going to try to grow them into sets from seed. The sets I grow this year hopefully will make onions in 2014. I don't have any sets from last year because they all failed.

I think I am going to forego regular onion sets in 2013 and try to get a hold of some more multiplying onions. The plan right now is I will plant quite a few more shallots than I did last year. They store really well and should hold me through the year and give me sets for 2014. What a Face
