All New SFG edition in Kindle version FYI
Some may already know and many may not know that the All New SFG book is available at Amazon in a Kindle edition.
ANSFG
What many may not know is that you do not need to own a Kindle device to use the Kindle version. You can download a Kindle reader from Amazon for "FREE" that will allow you the same functionality on your PC or Laptop and other devices as you would have on a Kindle. I have been using this for about a month now and it is awesome, I don't even have to put my glasses on to read anymore and finding myself reading much more than before. Absolutely great for reading and studying Mel's techniques.
Kindle apps
I hope this will help some of you with poor eyes as much as it has me.

I hear that there is a newer version ANSFG about to come out (soon). The Kindle reader program is free, however the 2006 book still costs about $10 in the kindle version.

Hi camprn
Not sure how my post ended up in Food discussions? Could you move it to General SFG discussions where more folks can see it? I think this info can benefit many members.
Thanks Much for all you do around here!

There's also a Barnes and Noble Nook version. Also works in the downloadable app.
Here's another thread on same topic.

I use an android tablet and the kindle app to view kindle books, so yes, that is a great way to get this awesome book. And yes, we have a newer version of the book coming out as well as the FAQ book coming out!

I like my Kindle, but I like my ANSFG book because I can write (a lot of) notes in the margins.

I couldn't imagine ever plinking back and forth on a kindle /tablet device to locate something when my book is so well thumbed it just opens at the most popular pages all of its own accord. ( it desn't break when I drop it or sit on it either )
Will there be an announcement on site when the new edition is available .. will it be available in the UK ???

Re: All New SFG edition in Kindle version FYI
I was on Amazon two days ago and was about to order the ANSFG book and a compost thermometer. I didn't order that day and I am so glad I didn't. I just ordered the second edition and a good compost thermometer that is supposed to not fog up and seems more durable than others, going by reviews. The book is a pre-order because it doesn't come out until February, 2013. I love to read and I personally like having a book in my hand, but that's just me. I have the first SFG book written by Mel (and autographed) and from so much use, a few pages are coming loose. I will be glueing them back in but not getting rid of it. A friend of mine and I went to a library in Sandy, Utah and listened to Mel talk about SFG and it sounded great so we bought our books and created out beds.
Its hard to wait until February but it will seem like a late Christmas present or an early birthday present. I am so glad I waited two days!

Being able to read from a book is a great luxury for those of who have good eyes. I have a medical condition which has darn near blinded me as far as reading from paper print, but I can at least still see and read electronic screens.
The printed word is pretty much out for me, even with my best glasses at times. It was for this reason that I made the above post, hoping to help those with reading impairments similar to mine. I wish I could carry my book to the garden and make side notes and make easy look ups, but as I said, that luxury is no longer available to me. Enjoy what you still have and pray that you never lose it.

That's a bummer Bob ...
I too have diminishing sight .. I'm having probs some days with kindle in big print .
It looks like I will end up having to get a 42 inch monitor for a PC or all in one etc. then read in 1 " high letters using a wifi connection and watch/ read from the sofa .

bnoles, no worries. Sometimes it's good to resurrect some threads for folks who may not know of other forms they can access the book in.
I've always got my tablet or Galaxy Note II close by so accessing the book even if I don't have the paperback copy on me , is always a possibility.
