Baked this cake yesterday with the last of my tomatoes. Wow! Now I better invite someone over because I want to eat the whole thing.

Great way to use up the last batch.

I'm not a cake lover usually. I like heavy cakes, like pound cake and carrot cake. This one, because of the texture, is much like a carrot cake. Lots of substance. The frosting is very rich. The recipe for the frosting made too much for my taste so I took the leftover and put it in the freezer. Would be good on homemade cinnamon rolls.

I prefer heavy cakes, too. The frosting sounds close to what I make for my cinnamon rolls. I can already feel the winter pounds piling on!
