Hello from Louisiana
Looking forward to learning from each of you on the Forum. I'm new to this but have had at least two SFG beds since 2001. Love the method, learning, and sharing!

Re: Hello from Louisiana
Hello and welcome from Baton Rouge! This is a great place to share and find information on SFG. I am about to plant my Fall garden, but the place where I get my starts has not received them yet, they say it is still too hot. I agree and looking froward to cooler weather.
Again welcome.

Welcome Gloves!
Are you still following Mel's old book with soil amending or have you switched over to Mel's Mix in his new book All New Square Foot Gardening?

Mel's Mix
Hi GG
I tried the new mix several years ago but recently learned I didn't mix it properly. It calls for a mixture of several different compost types and I only used one. Needless to say I wasn't successful with it and went back to the old mix. I'll try again with my next bed. That's the fun of it all -- learning.

Thank you for the welcoming notes!
Thank you all for the notes of welcome! Really looking forward to learning from all of you.
I planted fall veggies last weekend and found a few more at the nursery and feed store this week. Now I have cilantro, swiss chard, and red sails lettuce to plant between the raindrops today. Looking for a source for garlic to plant.
