A Louisiana hello
A Louisiana hello
Glad to be here!
I've been an off-and-on gardener for a while: several moves and (therefore) planting veggies in pots, if at all.
My husband Dwayne & I celebrated our two-year anniversary on Tuesday and now we're in one place for a while (or so it seems). I recently took my copy of Square Foot Gardening off the shelf and he very graciously built two raised beds.
I'm down here in Zone 9, where the heat and humidity are already settling in. I'm too late for spring planting, but I hope to transplant some herbs and get ready for a fall garden.
Thanks to everyone,
Sarah

Never plant without a bucket of compost at your side.

Hi, Sarah and welcome!
Check out our member dstack's posts about what he's growing in his zone 10 (S. Fla.) garden. You might be surprised at how much you can plant even in the scorching southern summers.

Welcome Sarah, from Redding, Ca. We share your heat, but not your humidity, thank goodness. Looking forward to your posts.
