Source for vermiculite in Denver/C.Springs area?
I need a LOT of vermiculite....a minimum of 36 cu. ft. of it to get these new beds filled. Does anyone know where I can find quantities like that around here? And hopefully without having to sell my blood plasma in order to afford it!
Many thanks!

Hmm, I can get the coarse grade Vermiculite here in the Ft Collins/Loveland area at almost any garden center. 4 cu Ft bags...So you would need about 9. In these parts $40 per is the going rate. I would doubt you will find it in bulk.
I know Victoria was at Echter's several months ago. She told me that she thought they might start carrying the actual mix. I would bet they would have the coarse Vermiculite if you can't find it in your area.

Do you have a Menard's in your area? (Or maybe you can order it online.) You can buy coarse vermiculite in their insulation dept. It is made by Sun Corp and is the same thing as those expensive bags from other stores. I paid about $10 per 3 sq cubic ft.
Good luck! Finding vermiculite was the hardest part of making my MM!

I just moved here two weeks ago...I'm Googling Menard's now! Thanks! I "discovered" Big R this past weekend. Always an adventure to figure out where to shop and find things in a new area.
