Adding Compost

How often does one add compost once you have started your garden? I have a mixed bag of SFG squares, some with seeds and others with seedlings and then a few with small peppers starting to grow. Also. how much does one add to the sqft?

I think it goes like this: every time you empty a square of plants, you add a trowel full of compost to the square before planting it again.

You can also topdress the Mel's Mix with compost.

Like camp said you can top dress with it. I like to do that when I start seening blooms on most of the plants. It acts as a great mulch as well as providing nutrition to the plants.
