Tomato takeover!

I have been wondering why my plants didn't seem to be doing so well these past few weeks and I think it might be the tomatoes' fault (maybe). As I dug up my plants to move houses today I saw the tomato roots everywhere in the 4x4 box. They produced over 200 (cherry) tomatoes between the 3 of them in their 3 squares. Could they have taken away nutrients and water from my other plants? Just a theory.

Any tips will help and here is a picture of them:

It could be. I see you have several inches from the soil surface to the top edge of your box. You could top dress the whole box with compost and boost the growth of everything. Very Happy
