Replant bush bean seeds?
I bought fresh bean seeds this year and planted them. They advertise 90% germination, but I'm getting something closer to 70%. Should I replant the empty spaces now or wait and do a second crop later? With corn, Mel says not to do that (and I did last year and can see why you shouldn't). BTW they sprouted very quickly.

How long has it been since you planted the seeds, and how long since they started sprouting? I found that there was almost a week between when my first sprouts came up and when the last ones did. I guess this is why Mel recommends planting a couple seeds per spot, then snipping the extras out (even though it always kills me to do that).

square- did you plant too deep?
Re: Replant bush bean seeds?
Maybe you just need to wait a little longer. I planted both Marvel bush peas and Nickel Filet bush beans on the same day, May 6. The Marvels are sprouting nicely but the Nickels have me worried. Today I found only 2 Nickels had sprouted, out of 3 squares. I checked the package directions and it does state they should be planted in 60* or warmer soil and mine was only in the low 50s. I'm thinking I tried to rush things. If they don't sprout by next weekend, I'll reseed the squares and cross my fingers.
Marvel peas on 5/19 are already sprouting.
Nickel filets on 5/19, none sprouting except some weeds starting to grow.
A nickel sprout today, 5/23, one of only 2. Yippee. Try waiting a few more days.
