Hi,

Welcome to the forum. You are the second Alaskan currently posting on the forum. The other is in Fairbanks, which doesn't offer much in the way of supporting each other weatherwise!

From your weather description, I can only guess that you may be in SE Alaska, in the Juneau-Ketchican area. Regardless, the folks gardening in weather most similar to yours can be found in the PNW regional forum. There's also a few Canadians posting from western B.C. and on Vancouver Island.

I'm curious to learn how the extra daylight hours affect your gardens. Is this going to be your first year gardening? What will you be planting?
