How do I get my draft back?
I tried to 'preview' my post but clicked on 'draft' in error and don't know where it went. How do I get the draft to delete it?

Re: How do I get my draft back?
Sometimes if you have a long post the internet connection drops the site link or the server times out of the open link and as you click to send it send the post dies a sudden death .
Boffer advised me to do any longish post on word or a note form and then copy the finished article and simply post the copy instead . that way you reduce the time the link is in use aand you still have the original on your computer nless you erase it.
I've just taken time out typing this post to answer the door and give something to someone from out of the garage .
It's been over five minutes and if I pressed send it too would die .. this time from the bottom of the page up I'll just highlight the post with the right button & copy bit . ( sometimes it won't copy if you highlight from the top down )
Then I can copy and paste it back into the thread if this transmission fails

Re: How do I get my draft back?
Thanks Plantoid. Been there, done that. That's happened to me before, once here I think but mostly on my quilt sites where the posts are longish, so I've learned to highlite and hit Control C after posting a couple of paragraphs and doing the same after a couple more. If I lose the whole thing when I try to post it, I just have to go back and open a new post and hit Control V and the whole thing will come back.
Thanks for the help my friends.

Often when you lose a post, you can also hit Control Z. I don't know if this works if the server had timed out though.
