Did I bomb on my nasturtiums?
Having read about all the great benefits of having nasturtiums in the garden, I decided to sprinkle them here and there for some pest control. I just read today that they are sort of a ground cover crop, so I'm wondering if I did a bad thing. I've put one or two between squares here and there, not wanting to give up full squares throughout the beds. Will they take over?
Thanks y'all.

This is a good question indeed.
I do not think that they will take over, they can be trained to leave the SFG bed..... RIGHT AWAY...
If they are causing a ruckus you can always yank them out
THEY ARE so beautiful.

If they get too thick start plucking leaves and make a salad!

Yeah - let 'em grow where they are for now, and if they become a problem you could always transplant out to a flower bed elsewhere or into a balcony pot to be beautiful for you there...

Are they full size or dwarfs?
They can spread and take over. Full sized ones can be quite tall.
I planned mine (dwarfs) for an end square.
I've eaten the flowers...tastes like an herb. Would go well in a sald. Pansies have a sweeter flavor.

I like the climbing variety so I can run them up a trellis with the cukes. Haven't talked Hubby into putting them in his salad yet...
