Please Check My Work
Would some of you expert SFGers please check my garden plan for newbiness?
These are TTs that will be on my south facing patio. (You can see pics of it here.)
I put the squash and zucchini in 1x2 areas. I thought I could plant them on the west square, and run them east to a trellis for them to climb.
This is my first time trying to grow food. I hope I'm not too far off the mark, after reading ANSFG and these forums for the last month or two!
All comments are welcome!

Re: Please Check My Work
The only thing I would change is the Rosemary and oregano. Switch them. Rosemary is huge and needs to be in the north outside square. I think that will work but hopefully someone from the south will chime in. I'm in Maine and our weather needs differ. Maybe smaller herbs will benefit from the larger ones being on the south side in your heat. Anyone care to comment?
Everything else looks OK to me. Don't let the fact that you are a newbie bother you. I was brand new growing food in 2009 and it all worked out. You just keep learning more and more as the months and years pass by. You can always correct mistakes.

Re: Please Check My Work
Hi,
I am writing in on the almost in the South (unless you grew up above the Mason-Dixon line, which I did.) I would put most of your herbs in pots. Oregano is a member of the mint family and will try and take over the world. Dill should get pretty tall, as will cilantro. Coriander is the term for cilantro when it has bolted, you might have trouble with that (I know I do.) Herbs also like tough love, less rich soil and lots of pinching back. If you are trying to grow an herb garden, then by all means plant them together. Most herbs are perennials and will not need to be replanted next year (dill and cilantro are annuals.) Enjoy you new garden.

Thanks Patty for your insight. I know that this far north most of these herbs are annuals to us.

How well do the herbs respond to being cut back frequently? I could just keep them "mowed."

Re: Please Check My Work
Your plan looks pretty cool. I'm a newbie to SFG as well and I'm wondering what program you used to design it. I would like to make a neat, organized design like that for my plot.
