Hello from South West Alabama
Hello
My name is Victoria. I live in south west Alabama. Last year my husband built me a 12 x 6 foot box that we loosely based on the Square foot gardening method. This year we are cutting the box into 2 - 12 X 3 foot boxes and adding 3 more 12 X 3 foot boxes and 1 - 20 X 4 foot box.
Last year we had an abundant supply of Cucumbers a good crop of Zuchinni a couple squash but my tomatoes and melons failed horribly.
This year I hope to plant more varity. Green beans, peas, strawberry, lettuce, peppers, core, cucumber, tomatoes, herbs and even flowers.

Welcome to the forum, I am next door to you in Georgia. You will find a lot of great information here, if there is anything I can help with, let me know.

Hi Victoria,
I'm in SE Alabama and I had the exact opposite outcome with my garden. My squash and zucchini died a slow death but my tomato's and melons grew like crazy. Good luck this year.
