planting this afternoon!
My 2yr old and I headed out to the garden the afternoon to plant potatoes, onion sets (second crop), and red cabbage transplants. She is such a natural gardener. Last week we replanted the pea's that her cat dug up and ate. I show her how far to space them and she keeps the distance fairly even between them all. She planted 15 red cabbage today and about 5 pounds of potatoes on her own. Now for the weather to cooperate so I can set out my peppers and toms to get some sunlight!

Re: planting this afternoon!
Sounds like you have a great little helper
Where are you located? I'm a bit jealous hearing of others planting already, since we still have snow on the ground.
Keep us posted on the progress!

I am my gardens worst enemy.

Re: planting this afternoon!
mississippi gulf coast. I always plant potatoes by valentines, 1st set of onions and garlic by mid October and second set of onion sets in Jan....I am late this year. We have english peas, snap peas, carrots, beets, radishes, collards, cabbage, broccoli, turnips and mustard greens we have been harvesting. The hoop house has green beans, peppers and tomatoes chuging along. They dont do as well right now as they do when it is warmer out but we are getting this and that from the hoop house.
