Don't worry. Me, too. It seems to happen from time to time. I think it means one of two things....

1- NR or someone is tweaking the joint around.

2- It's a sign I should just never leave.

My unsubstantiated opinion: it's a function of one's browser. I've got a couple computers with a couple different browsers on each one, my wife and I are both members, I'm a member on other foromotion forums, and THEY ALL ACT DIFFERENTLY, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY!

The main reason I suspect the browser is one time my power went out while I was on the forum. Five minutes later the power came back on, and when I got back to the forum, the log in procedure had changed. To me, that's a function of my browser.

Bottom line...I dunno yet.

I also had to re-log-in yesterday evening and first thing today, but now it's working for me again.

Looking at the browser idea, I'm using Firefox. How about you SG?

I've had to re-log in each time the last couple of days. Before, I didn't need to re-log. I just hope it fixes itself.

Still not working for me. It is annoying having to log in each time I come back even if the computer has been left on with the forum open. I use Internet Explorer. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Post  southern gardener 1/15/2012, 11:23 am

Is there any way to go back to leaving us logged in? I was all set this AM with my coffee to read my "unread" posts, there were lots of them. Some company dropped in for about 45 min. After they left, I went back to finish reading, and I was "logged out". When I logged back in, there were only 5 "unread" posts. I'm guessing when I got logged out, it "re-started" and only showed me posts since the system logged me out. This has happened several times, and is such a bother! I don't want to have to wade through each topic and look at times to see what I've missed. Please, change it back to leave us logged in!! THANK YOU!!

It's not a setting we have changed. Sometimes the software is just wonky. Try clearing your cookies and caches, including browser cache.

Southern Gardener - it is happening to me as well. And I am still getting an e-mail every time I post to a thread, telling me I am receiving it because I am 'watching' this thread. I have cleared out cookies, history, temp files, changed my settings, and still......

Like NR said, sometimes it is just wonky! Here's hoping it wakes up and resets itself! thank you 3170584802

The same glitch happened to me, I started receiving email notices about threads I didnt "watch". So each time I got a notice I click on the link, went to the thread and click stop watching the topic. See if that will help.
