Radish not growing

Radish not growing
My radishes would not seam to "bulb" up. They would get about a half inch wide and then get long and would get big. The leaves grew very large (8" high but no real bulb)
Any ideas why?

Hi There! How long ago did you plant them? are they getting enough water? did you apply fertilizer of any kind?

Radish
This was through the summer. I watered them every other day during the hot season. I planted a fall crop in Sept and they did the same thing. A couple of them were like a normal radish. I even got another brand and the same thing. That's why I think it may be something else.

All top and little or no bulb growth is commonly caused by too much shade, seeding too thickly or planting in soils that have too much nitrogen and too little potassium. Radish plants need just the opposite, which is low nitrogen (N) and high potassium (K), which is also why we use low N and high K numbers when winterizing our lawns this time of year.
