Asian sno-peas.

My snow peas are around 3 inches tall (8 per sq) Will they need support when they get taller?

Hi there again. I tried googling asian snow peas for you, but came up with nothing! So I can't really help, other than to ask you if you still have the packet that the seeds came in? My seed packet (I planted Oregon Sugar Pod II) says on the back that it's a vining plant that reaches 28". So that's how I knew I'd need to build a trellis for them.

Hopefully someone will be along that is familiar with that variety of peas. Just didn't want you to feel neglected! Smile

Thanks Gwennifer. The packet says grows on compact plants, but branches out very well. Hmmmm should I cage or not !!! The best part of SFG is learning as you go. Have a great day. Very Happy

I grew three varieties of snow peas this spring. All were at least 3' tall, and benefited from a trellis.

Mammoth Melting Snow Peas were 7' tall. These might be like your asian peas, they are the pod-edible style. This is my favorite thing to eat from the garden now.
