Growing Dahalia tubers in SFG-from a new SFG
My big problem here in WNC is not space-it is voles.
I want to try SFG for Dahalia tubers
Any advice?

To prevent voles from eating your bulbs try the following.
After you have built the frame for your SFG staple 1/4 inch mesh hardware cloth (wire) on the bottom of the frame. Set the frame off the ground a number of inches by placing the on a purpose built frame, bricks, blocks, table top or anything to get it off the ground so the creatures cannot come up from underneath the SFG. After the SFG is in place line the inside with an excellent weed blocking fabric such as the one sold through this web site. Then fill with Mel's Mix and happy flowers.
