Hey all,
I just harvested two of the three heads of cabbage in my garden. I cut the head from the main stalk. Do I need to remove the plant from the garden now? I ask only because I don't know. This is my very first garden ever. Thanks.

You sure can, it will give you more space for spring plantings but you can often get mini cabbage heads if the crown is intact.

Deborah ....Congratulations!

Thanks Deborah. I think I will see if I can get some minis out of them. It is going to be several weeks anyway for new seedlings that I am starting.

Ditto Deb, sometimes you'll get mini heads that look like brussels! great "experiment"

Yeah, mine from last year were about 1.5 x as big as a brussel.
