Re: Cabbage Pie
I found this recipe on the internet. It uses less sour cream and mayonnaise than some of the other recipes. I bet my husband would even eat it if I added a little well drained spicy sausage.

Re: Cabbage Pie
I'm going to use plain yogurt instead of the sour cream to reduce the fat. If husband and I like it, I may sneak in avocado in lieu of the mayonnaise.

That sounds so delicious! Thanks for the share!

Re: Cabbage Pie
The cabbage pie was delicious. Hubby and I couldn't compare it with any American or common foreign dish. The first bite was so unusual, but the more we ate, the more we liked it.
Here are the changes I made to the Natasha Kitchen recipe:
1. 1/4 cup of plain yogurt in place of 1/4 cup of sour cream to reduce the fat and calories.
2. Two whole eggs and 3 egg whites to reduce the cholesterol.
3. Gluten-free flour instead of regular flour.
4. Didn't have any green onion so I used dried chives.
5. Added a little bit of spicy turkey sausage out of their casings, well fried and drained, so that hubby would like it.

Re: Cabbage Pie
Looks good, I'll give the cabbage, corned beef and mashed potatoes with heaps of butter a miss and try your pie.
Cheers.
Cheers.
