Happy 4th to you and yours...

Happy 4th to you and yours...
This is literally my favorite holiday of the year. Well, it flip-flops with Christmas, but as the years go by, I lean more towards the 4th. Summer, friends, no gift exchanges, BBQs, beer, friends, tomatoes, corn, ribs, friends, and the fact that we are not necessarily obligated to be with our dysfunctional families for hours on end listening to each other complain how another year went by. Granted, I may feel differently if I was excited about getting gifts anymore. Now, I can't seem to focus on anything other than how much money flies out of our pockets because we are giving gifts to all these people. I would just rather throw a BBQ and let whoever wants to show up just show up. Low-key and casual is my game these days. And, I just love summertime!!
But, we must all take pause, in the United States, and give thanks to all those before us that made our country possible (not necessarily what it has become....politics aside). And, for that, I am putting The Preamble into this post.....with my childlike spin on it. Happy 4th SFGers!!
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all little boys are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of ALL THINGS THAT EXPLODE thereby creating happiness!
edit: Well, the 4th is also my wife's birthday. So, I may also have been forced to like the 4th even more against my will. And, at least I only have to buy one person gifts on this holiday....not the entire free world.

LOL mine too! We joke that everybody in the country celebrates her birthday except us...we'll do that next month when business calms down.
Finger count on Tuesday...count to ten or stay home!
