Anyone from Stuart/Jensen Beach/Port St. Lucie/Ft. Pierce FLORIDA?
Greetings! Went to a Master Gardeners' Plant Sale today and got inspired to try a garden. Would love to connect with someone who is experienced and fairly local. I don't know what zone we are in...

Glad to have you join us.
Have you read the ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING book yet? I find it explains the basics of SFG in a simple and easy to understand manner. SFG is a marvelous method to grow veggies.
Sorry I am not in your area, so my experience might not apply to FL. My brother in Dunedin, tells me of the many differences in gardening here and along the central FL Gulf Coast.
Veggies from a Master Gardeners' Sale are usually great starts.
To determine your zone and region, check this link REGIONS AND ZONES looks like you are probably in Zone 10, and the Coastal and Tropical South Region.
Please keep us posted on your progress and share pictures too.
Again, Welcome!

Glad you found us. You are in the C&T south region. This is a great place to connect with other SFG's and there are tons of helpful people here. We can get a bit silly at times but that IMO makes it that much more fun.
If you have not yet read Mel's ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING book yet I cannot encourage you enough to read it asap. Your library will most likely have a copy if you want to try it on for size. Check out the Coastal and Tropical South Region thread as well.
