My dear brother worked for 4 hours buiding my box today. He is the best.
B-Day Table Top Almost Complete 109486 Bro! Only have to afix the plywood bottom and hoop supports, fill, water, and cover with insect barrier. Than I can plant, planty, planty, plant, plant. It went from a 3'x5' to 4'x6' so things are already growing. We used milk crates stacked 2 high for the legs (bro's inspired idea) and they work great, best of all they were free. Not the prettiest, but my neighbor found some discarded plastic lattice board and gave me a piece that I think will look good on the front side. I will have to wait until next week have the finished box. I was so caught up in the biuld I forgot to take pics but I will next week.
Plan on planting edemame for sure and some sweet peppers what else I just don't know since it is late to be planting here in florida my choices are a bit limited.
I am already ready for planning the fall garden, just need some brussel sprout seeds. Can't wait to show it to you all he did a great job. It is small and does not compare with some of the outstanding gardens here but it does show how even a renter can still grow fresh healthy organic vegies in a small space useing the SFG method.
Here's to Mel B-Day Table Top Almost Complete 593714 I know we all hope he is feeling better and recovers from his fall soon.

Sounds like you have a pretty awesome brother. Looking forward to seeing your pics. Small is good. Especially for beginning and it is amazing what you can do in a small space.

Way to go.

Well I am new to the forum and "the all new" square foot gardening, but not to square foot gardening. Planted the frist one in 81' Laughing He is a keeper and my sister-in-law too she is helping to foot the bill. I was realy lucky in the family dept. My mom also bought me the new book, the old one was the only book I ever wore out! Mom also got the super light row cover I love so much. When they asked me what I wanted for a present they were very supportive as they remembered the "old" garden. My health is not what it once was so having it raised up on the legs is perfect for me.
