This was a complete surprise
I was weed-eating around the beds this morning & found this. It was a shocker, as you can see from the other picture there wasn't a clue that I had a tomato nearly ripe. These are Jerry's German Giant tomatoes & they really are pretty. My first year to grow them.
Now for the not so pretty - I know not to try Spring cabbage, but I had to anyway. I thought I had pulled all of them up, but this one was hiding in the asparagus bed. I can never find BT around here & never remember to order some. I'm going to try a Fall crop to see if I have any better luck.

Maybe you can use the cabbage as lace doilies.
Very exciting about the tomato - they look so nice and good size!

Dixie, Lucky you with that lovely red tomato. One of the advantages of living in the south. In Maine, I'm just viewing some green tomatoes on my early Oregon Spring tomatoes and I'm already salivating.
Let us know how that one tastes.
Enjoy.
